Marigold Dance
Marigold Dance with Brave Combo at the Arnosky Barn!
Put on your best Halloween or Dia de los Muertos costume, grab your favorite drinks, and get ready to dance for Marigold Festival’s final event!
Trying to describe Brave Combo’s music requires a pretty extensive vocabulary – at least when it comes to musical styles. Since 1979 the Denton, Texas-based quintet has perfected a world music mix that includes salsa, meringue, rock, cumbia, conjunto, polka, zydeco, classical, cha cha, the blues and more. They are America’s Premier Dance band and a rollicking, rocking, rhythmic global journey — offering what one critic recently wrote, “Even if you come for the party, you’ll leave with something of a musical education.”
Brave Combo has charmed countless listeners and won avid devotees. The band has won two Grammy Awards and been nominated for their work 7 times.
The Big Blue Barn is a lovely and intimate venue for this amazing band. Wear a costume and come ready to be festive.

Movie Night in the Park - "COCO"
Disney’s COCO is a favorite of ours because of the beautiful marigolds that are so present throughout the film. And, we all get a little bit of an education on Dia de los Muertos - the power of perseverance and love! Grab a blanket and some snacks and join us for this Marigold Festival tradition.
Purple Martin Presentation
Wild Birds Unlimited of Dripping Springs will present this seminar all about the Purple Martin. Why they are important and how to attract and create homes for them. Free Event. Donations are certainly accepted.
Marigold Ristra Making Class
Learn how to use the flower heads from your blooming marigolds and make a beautiful Ristra. We will have all the supplies you need to make a beautiful string of fresh blooms. With a tie on top and a tassel on the bottom, they make lovely decorations for your harvest time home decor. The blooms will dry on the string and you can take those dried blooms to the garden or flower bed the following Spring for another crop of Marigolds.
Marigold Dye Class
An afternoon, surrounded by thousands of marigolds and butterflies! You will go home with a beautiful creation and lovely memories of the day.
Dining with the Dead Book Signing
Meet the authentic and engaging authors, Mariana Nuno Ruiz & Ian McEnrose. They will be presenting the newly released 2nd Edition of their book
"Dining with the Dead". This new book presents the history of Dia de los Muertos, delicious recipes, illustrates "how to" crafts, and gorgeous photography.
Bonus: Full immersion experience in the Marigolds at the Blue Barn!
Marigold Market
An excellent collection of local and regional artists will be set up on the Old Blanco County Courthouse Lawn. Explore the vendors, which include a local winery and brewery. Have a fall-themed mimosa, and be sure to explore the shops around the historic town square!
Creation Stations
Fun for the kids and the young at heart.
Create flower crowns, paper flowers, and lanterns. Make a maraca even! Let your kiddos enjoy some fun while you shop.
Purchase a wristband for $5 to participate in all craft stations.

Dyeing with Marigolds on Silk
From bloom to dried, Marigolds keep on giving. Create a beautiful silk scarf to take home with you! Class is outdoors, under the pavilion at the Arnosky Family Farm.

Get in the spirit of the season with Disney Pixar’s “COCO”. A fun and festive visual exploration of Dia de los Muertos.
Bring a picnic or pick up something to go from one of Blanco’s many restaurants. Bring chairs or blankets to sit on and a flashlight for when the movie is over.
Movie is free to the public. Donations will certainly be gladly accepted.
